Import Audit Compliance Webinar
Everyone wants to be an importer. Few people know how to do it properly. Since the passage of the Customs Modernization Act has transferred responsibility—and legal liability—for determining the value, classification and entry requirements- from Customs to the importer, you better make sure you know what you're doing.
This popular webinar details your responsibilities as an importer under the Customs Modernization Act, audit procedures you'll be required to follow during a focused assessment, and your record keeping requirements. In addition, you'll be given guidance for creating a set of Standard Operating Procedures required by Customs under the Act.
The webinar is exactly the same as the seminar except that you watch on your computer rather than sitting in the same room as the instructor. There is still ample time to ask questions. Small class sizes and a knowledgeable teacher allow for a great interaction between attendees and the instructor.
Prior to the webinar you'll receive a copy of the Focused Assessment workbook to help meet the day-to-day responsibilities and legal requirements of your job.
If you take this webinar, you will:
- CLASS & MATERIAL UPDATE! NEW FOCUSED ASSESSMENT (FA) RULES
- Learn why audits exist and why they are important
- Discover what a customs audit is, how the process works, and what Customs is looking for
- Understand your compliance responsibilities and how you could pass a Customs Audit
- Learn how to develop proper recording keeping requirements
