Since 1996, Mary McCormick has been a sole practitioner
and principal of McCormick International, specializing
in international business law. She has 29 years
of international legal experience spanning over forty
countries. She has set up numerous international
wholly-owned entities, agencies, distributorships and
joint ventures, and drafted and negotiated international
sales and license agreements.
Mary was International Counsel for Cray Research,
Inc., a supercomputer manufacturer, for more eight
years; prior to that she was Group Counsel, Asia Pacific
and Associate International Counsel for Honeywell Inc.,
a control systems and computer manufacturer. She
began her legal career with the law firm of Baker & McKenzie.
Mary is a member of the American Bar Association,
the Minnesota State Bar Association and the Hennepin
County Bar Association. She is on the Council
of the International Business Law Section, Minnesota
State Bar Association and is a former Chair of the
Section. She is a member of the Panel of International
Arbitrators for the American Arbitration Association.
From 2001 to 2005, she was an Adjunct Professor at
the University of Minnesota Law School teaching a senior
seminar on International Contracts. She also
teaches Legal Aspects of International Business at
Metropolitan State University in Minneapolis.
